Getting close to Christmas

Well, it's Monday yet again.

I think I have my Christmas shopping done with the exception of my son and stocking stuffers.

Under alot of pressure the last few days. Going to a lot of meetings. My new nephew (born Dec 5th) is back in the hospital. They are going to run some tests today. A GI and a brain scan as they don't know what is wrong with him. He was only 4 1/2 pounds when he was born so I have been praying alot for him.

More later.

Mid week

Well, I went to take pictures of the Lightning McQueen afghan that I completed, along with the Holiday RAOK package that I received yesterday and whomever used my digital camera last didn't shut it off. Sooo, the batteries were completely dead. Grrrr.

I charged them overnight and it looked like they were good to go this morning as I was getting ready for work. I will (hopefully) get the pictures taken tonight and posted tomorrow.

Hm, it's winter

Well, let's see.

I have finished the Lightning McQueen blanket for my nephew for Christmas ... whew!
(I will take a picture tonight and post it tomorrow)

I have almost finished the school bus lapghan for my son's bus driver. I am just waiting for Kainnon to let me know what Linda's favorite colour is so I can edge it in that colour.
(Hopefully I will finish this tonight as well and get a pic online)

I am a little off today. My sister-in-law is scheduled for a c-section at 11:30 this morning and I am just praying that everything goes well.

TGIF

Well, it's finally Friday.

It is pouring cats and dogs here in Toronto. The weekend doesn't look like it's going to be much better weather-wise. Good time to lock myself inside the house and crochet until my fingers fall off.....LOL

I have been in contact with the Hospital for Sick Children here in Toronto and have asked them if they require blankets/preemie caps for their NCIU. The answer was "yes!!!"
I have contacted my local Walmart to see if they would be willing to donate the wool in order for me to make these items for the hospital. We will wait and see.

So much to do, so little time

Well, I guess with the 1st of December approaching tomorrow, I am under a serious time crunch to get everything done for the holidays that I need to.

Someone should outlaw working for a living when there is crocheting to be done.....LOL

I just can't seem to find enough time in the day to work, get my crafting done, spend time with my son and sleep.

I find myself saying no to social activities in order to sit on my couch in front of the TV with my crocheting in my lap and a kitten asleep beside me. I also find myself resentful of anything or anyone who interrupts my crocheting....sad eh?

Today, after work, I have an interview with my son's teacher. Then I have to take my son to his guitar lessons and do my laundry while I am in town. Now at least while I am in town doing laundry, I can get some crocheting done, which is good.

I have the "Lightning McQueen" afghan just over 75% done..which is good. But I have another blanket to make before the Christmas break for my son's bus driver.

Wish me luck.

The beginning of a new week

Well, it's the beginning of a new week. I guess that's good.

I got alot of crocheting done over the weekend as my son was extremely busy elsewhere.

I am over half way done the Lightning McQueen blanket for my nephew.

My girlfriend dropped by on Saturday and I gave her the Spongebob blanket that I had made for her. She loved it!!! Her daughter now wants me to make her a blanket with basketballs on it. Guess I'll have to design that one on my own.

I am having lots of fun with my car. Two weekends ago I blew out the alternator and killed the battery. This past weekend, I blew some of the lines that run from the rad to the engine so I ended up getting a ride home in a tow truck with my car tagging along behind.
And just a few minutes ago, someone came to my desk telling my that my car was leaking gas and they asked me to move it.....((are we having fun yet?!?))
